GMV 6 Reunion

Around 120 former employees of GMV 6 (now WIN TV) gathered at the Shepparton RSL on the 5th November, 2011 for dinner and on the following Sunday for a Counter Lunch.

Many of the towns former TV hosts, news reporters and newsreaders returned, as well as a large number of those who worked behind the scenes putting programs together for the local area.

A highlight of the reunion was an extensive display of photographs and other material showing the development of the station over the past 50 years. A small selection of equipment was also put on display in the function room. These were from the collection of Wayne Collyer, who has been collecting material and equipment from the station since the mid 70s.

Wayne was delighted to see the positive reaction to the displays, and felt that his work to collect the material has been well worth it. Work continues on the goal to have this material and equipment put on display in a public space in Shepparton.
